Boston, MA – Windwalker Group, a Boston-based 8(a)-certified cybersecurity, physical security, training, and professional services firm, is excited to announce a new Chief Operations Officer (COO), Nick Macsata.

Mr. Macsata brings 25 years of organizational leadership with successful Homeland Security, Operations Management, Logistics, Marketing, and Human Resources experiences. As an Army Officer, he deployed to Baghdad from April 2005 – April 2006 to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. Nick served as the Commander of the 1st Civil Support Team (Weapons of Mass Destruction). Nick also has private sector experience where he was a Global Product Manager achieving 165% of business unit sales goals while maximizing profitability.

Nick will be responsible for all leadership aspects of the business, such as our people, clients, business development, and marketing. Mr. Macsata mentioned during his first public address to the Windwalker team that “Our CEO’s values and Windwalker’s are the same: Honesty, Ethics, Loyalty, Purpose Driven Action, and Achieving Results. It is beholden to each of us to do our best to live and work through those values.”

Nick possesses an MBA and a Masters in Homeland Security Leadership from the University of Connecticut and a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is also a graduate of Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Seminar in Homeland Security Leadership and holds Senior Certified Professional status from the Society of Human Resources Management. In addition to his work with the armed services and private sector, Nick is a lifelong Volunteer Firefighter and has served as an Adjunct Professor with Endicott College, teaching Transportation Security, Risk Management, and Homeland Security Research.
